CROCHET HAIR TYPES.
Hey KuzaBeauts,
Having understood everything about crochet hair from our last blog post on crochet hair (insert link), we'll be differentiating the different types of crochet hair.
There are mainly two categories of crochet hair: pre-braided/twisted hair and let's call the second category the "normal" crochet hair. Both categories come in straight or/and cuvry/wavy forms.
Now, let's talk about them.
PRE-BRAIDED/TWISTED CROCHET HAIR
As the name suggests, these come either pre-braided, pre-twisted or even as locs. You can easily do a DIY installation with this category of crochet hair. They are somewhat easy to find. You've probably already rocked one or two in this category.
Here are examples:
They look familiar, right? Yup, we thought so too.
PROS
- They are easily installed.
- They are reusable, if properly uninstalled.
- It is affordably priced.
CONS
- It might require you to trim it from time to time especially if you will have it on for a long period of time.
NORMAL CROCHET HAIR
These are the category of crochet hair where the hair isn't pre-braided. It just comes normally and when installed, it imitates the weave/wig look. You'll probably ask the "what weave is this?" question on your lips.
This category will have to be installed by a professional, because when the extensions are installed right, they come out better.
Here are some examples:
They don't look like crochet, right? Exactly!
PROS
- It is versatile. It can be styled in different ways
- It would last 4-8 weeks.
- If properly uninstalled, it can be reused.
- When installed properly, it has a natural look.
- It is affordably priced.
CONS
- It requires extra skill to be installed
- They might get tangled easily if it isn't properly taken care of.
So, tell us in the comment section, which category will you be considering for your next salon appointment?
